Closet Cleanout FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions - Closet Cleanout Service
How does the closet cleanout service work?
We'll schedule a time to go through your closet together. We help you sort items into categories: keep, sell to us, consign, or donate. For pieces we purchase, you'll receive cash on the spot. For consignment items, you'll earn a percentage when they sell in our store.
What items do you accept?
We're looking for vintage and Y2K pieces, designer items, quality denim, coats and jackets, statement accessories, designer bags, and premium sneakers. Items should be in good condition with no major damage, stains, or excessive wear.
How much will I get paid for my items?
Payment depends on the brand, condition, demand, and current market value. We offer competitive rates - typically 30-40% of our expected resale price for outright purchases, or 50-60% consignment split when your items sell.
Do I need to clean or prepare my items before the appointment?
No need to clean items beforehand - we'll assess everything as-is. However, having items accessible and organized can help make the appointment more efficient.
How long does a closet cleanout appointment take?
Most appointments take 1-2 hours depending on how many items you have. We'll work at your pace to ensure you're comfortable with all decisions.
What happens to items you don't accept?
We're happy to provide recommendations for donation centers or other resale options. You can also keep any items we don't accept.
Do you offer this service at my home or do I come to you?
We offer both options! We can come to your location for an in-home cleanout, or you can bring items to us. Contact us to discuss which option works best for you.
Is there a fee for the closet cleanout service?
Our standard consultation is complimentary when you have items to sell or consign. Contact us for details about your specific situation.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Simply fill out our contact form or reach out directly, and we'll work with you to find a convenient time.
What if I'm not sure if my items are valuable enough?
Don't worry! We're happy to take a look at anything. You might be surprised at what's valuable in today's vintage market. Brands and styles from the 90s and early 2000s are especially popular right now.
